• Use for welding of Silicon Bronze Copper, or Aluminum Bronze of low aluminum content.
• It can also be used for brazing malleable iron and light gauge steel.
• Preheating copper – base alloys is frequently unnecessary provided section thicknesses are not unusually heavy.
• Preheat and Interpass temperatures will vary depending on section thickness, selected weld process and other variables.
• A chemical analysis of Copper and Zinc as well as alloying elements of 3% Silicon and small amounts of Tin and Manganese produce welds with excellent mechanical properties
• High strength, ductile and sound welds are easily attained by using a neutral or slightly oxidizing flame.
• Keep the weld pool small to promote fast solidification and minimize cracking.
• A high Boric acid brazing flux is required for Oxy-Acetylene brazing
